Design and Display

The X8a is one of the slimmest offerings from Honor, measuring just 7.48mm thick. At 179 grams, it is quite lightweight as well.The Honor X8a is available in three color options: Cyan Lake, Titanium Silver, and Midnight Black.

Coming to the front, this phone has a huge 6.7″LTPS LCD  display with a fast 90Hz refresh rate. Honor has paid special attention to the bezels here, and says the X8a achieves an impressive 93.6% screen-to-body ratio. This Full HD display has also been TÜV Rheinland low blue light certified for eye protection.

Performance

Powering the Honor X8a is MediaTek Helio G88, which is a 12nm-based mobile processor. It has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 (@2.0 GHz) and six Cortex-A55 (@1.8 GHz) cores. As for the GPU, the Helio G88 uses Mali-G52 MC2.

In terms of memory, the X8a is available in 6 and 8GB RAM options with 128GB storage (and no SD card slot). The phone runs on Honor’s Magic UI 6.1 based on the older Android 12, whereas Honor hasn’t committed to any software update timeline for the X8a either.

Camera

It supports shooting modes like portrait, time-lapse, Dual-View, Super Macro, and more. Furthermore, you get a 16MP selfie camera at the front. You can shoot up to 1080p 30 fps videos from the rear as well as the front camera.

Others

 The Honor X8a has a 4500mAh cell that supports Honor’s 22.5W SuperCharge technology. This phone comes with a single speaker setup and doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack either. In terms of wireless connectivity, there’s dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1, whereas NFC support is limited to select markets only.
